Just be KIND.

As a single mother, I’ve learned to be strong, resilient, and independent, juggling the responsibilities of raising my children while navigating life’s challenges. Yet, deep down, I long for someone to see me for who I truly am—beyond the roles I play as a mother or caretaker. I wish for love that accepts me fully, imperfections and all. I hope for a connection where I am valued not only for the love I give but for the person I am. Despite the complexities of life, I remain hopeful that one day, I will find someone who will cherish me for who I am, unconditionally.

What is the purpose of marriage?
In the Bible, marriage is viewed as a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, ordained by God for several purposes: 1. Companionship: In Genesis 2:18, God says it is not good for man to be alone, and He creates a woman to be his companion. Marriage provides companionship and mutual support. 2. Procreation and Family: In Genesis 1:28, God commands Adam and Eve to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth." Marriage is seen as the proper context for bringing children into the world and raising them. 3. Reflecting God's Relationship with His People: Marriage is used as a metaphor for God's covenant relationship with His people. In the Old Testament, Israel's relationship with God is depicted as a marriage (e.g., Hosea 2:19-20). In the New Testament, Christ’s relationship with the Church is also compared to that of a husband and wife (Ephesians 5:22-33). 4. Mutual Love and Respect: The Bible teaches that husbands and wives should love and respect each other. In Ephesians 5:25, husbands are instructed to love their wives as Christ loved the Church, and wives are called to respect their husbands. 5. Holiness and Purity: Marriage is also viewed as a context for sexual purity. In 1 Corinthians 7:2-5, the apostle Paul talks about the importance of marital intimacy, seeing it as a way to avoid immorality and to honor God. Thus, the purpose of marriage in the Bible encompasses companionship, procreation, reflecting God's relationship with His people, mutual love and respect, and the pursuit of holiness.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
We all have moments or decisions we wish we could change, but those regrets don't define who we are. They're often a part of learning, even if they don’t always feel that way. The key is acknowledging the regret, understanding what you can learn from it, and then giving yourself permission to grow from that experience. Sometimes, it also helps to forgive yourself for the mistakes you made. Everyone has things they wish they had done differently—it's part of being human.
What gets on your nerves?
It depends on the situation
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
The most important aspects of a relationship vary depending on individual values, but several key elements are often considered essential for a healthy and successful relationship: 1. Communication: Open, honest, and respectful communication is the foundation of any strong relationship. It helps partners understand each other's needs, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their bond. 2. Trust: Trust is crucial for emotional safety and intimacy. Without trust, it’s hard for any relationship to thrive. Partners need to feel confident in each other’s reliability and loyalty. 3. Mutual Respect: Both partners must respect each other’s opinions, boundaries, and individuality. Healthy respect ensures that both people feel valued and understood. 4. Love and Affection: Love—whether expressed through words, actions, or physical affection—forms the emotional core of a relationship. Regularly showing care and appreciation helps maintain a strong connection. 5. Support: Emotional and practical support is essential. Partners should be there for each other through life's challenges and celebrations, offering encouragement and helping each other grow. 6. Shared Values and Goals: While differences are natural, sharing common values and long-term goals helps couples navigate challenges and create a unified path forward. 7. Quality Time: Spending meaningful time together, free from distractions, strengthens the emotional bond and allows partners to enjoy each other's company. Ultimately, a successful relationship is built on a foundation of mutual care, understanding, and effort.
