Just a guy

I consider myself to be a sensitive individual of average intelligence. I'm not affraid to take chances in life. It's easy to get hurt with this philosophy but how can one ever achieve happiness in life without it? One of my favorite quotes goes as follows: “Failures to heroic minds are the stepping stones to success”. I like to be humorous and try to make others laugh when I can but I'm usually a little shy at first. Once I get to know a person I tend to loosen up. Sometimes I'm a little sarcastic in my humor but I mean for it to be good natured sarcasm. I am an independent person. I love to watch the Giants and the Yankees and I thoroughly enjoy sharing one or both of the aforementioned interests with anyone that is interested. I enjoy cooking, camping, cooking while camping, playing Volleyball and watching movies (I like most genres but horror movies tend to be my favorite). I love most animals. I've always considered myself more of a dog person although currently I have a cat named General after the cat from Stephen King's Cats Eye. I can be quite affectionate but not too clingy. I believe it's healthy to spend some time hanging out with the guys and also for women to hang out with their friends as well. I would like to meet a woman that shares some if not all of these interests. I would also like to develop a strong friendship with her followed by a long term relationship if the chemistry is there. Any takers?
